Academic Calender

The academic year in the Korean education system usually begins in March and is divided into two semesters. Similarly, the Jakarta International Korean School follows this schedule, with the first semester running from March to mid-July and the second semester from late August to mid-February. This division allows for a mid-year break, giving students a needed break before continuing their academic journey. The calendar also includes significant holidays like Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) and Seollal (Lunar New Year), which are celebrated with cultural events that help students understand Korean traditions.
